Why Kanha exists

I started building Kanha because I really wanted to read the Bhagavad Gita.

I wanted to know what it actually had to teach me. How it could help me become a better person, handle problems a little better, understand things a little more clearly. There were a lot of reasons, not just one.

So I got a physical copy and started reading. But I almost never had the time. I was traveling a lot, and in college there was no way I was carrying that book around. It is heavy, and it is not some quick textbook you flip through between classes. It is a big book, meant to be sat with.

I went looking for an app instead, something I could actually read on the go. Most of what I found had a confusing interface, sat behind a paywall, or buried the actual text under ads. Nothing was just clean, simple, and focused on the Gita itself, the real verses and what they mean.

So I built Kanha for myself first, just to actually finish reading the book I had been carrying around unread for years. It has come a lot further than I expected, and I am genuinely proud of what it has become.
