Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 10, Verse 30
And Prahlâda am I of Diti's progeny, of measurers I am Time; and of beasts I am the lord of beasts, and Garuda of birds.
Real devotion is shown here as powerful enough to define someone even against the weight of a demonic birth.
Naming Prahlad despite his lineage makes a direct, real point, where someone comes from doesn't fix where their heart actually turns. Origin is shown as far less decisive than devotion.
