Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 10, Verse 4-5

Intellect, knowledge, non-delusion, forbearance, truth, restraint of the external senses, calmness of heart, happiness, misery, birth, death, fear, as well as fearlessness, non-injury, evenness, contentment, austerity, benevolence, good name, as well as ill-fame - these different kinds of qualities of beings arise from Me alone.

Every human quality named here, from courage to sorrow, is traced back to one real, single source, and the list runs long on purpose, covering opposites side by side.

Nothing on this long list is claimed as self-generated, intellect, fear, forgiveness, joy, all of it is described as arising from the same origin. Real range like that shows this isn't a narrow claim about only the admirable traits, how each quality actually shows up in a person still depends on that person's own choices.
