Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 13, Verse 6-7
The great Elements, Egoism, Intellect, as also the Unmanifested (Mulâ Prakriti), the ten senses and the one (mind), and the five objects of the senses; desire, hatred, pleasure, pain, the aggregate, intelligence, fortitude, the Kshetra has been thus briefly described with its modifications.
The body gets broken down here into real, specific components, not left as one vague whole, right down to feelings like desire and aversion, which are named as real parts of this same field too.
Naming elements, senses, ego, and intellect individually turns something usually experienced as one single self into a real, itemized structure. That precision reaches into the inner, felt experience as well, grouping consciousness and will alongside desire and misery to show the field includes far more than just physical matter.
