Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 15, Verse 7
An eternal portion of Myself having become a living soul in the world of life, draws to itself the five senses with mind for the sixth, abiding in Prakriti.
Each soul is described here as a real, genuine part of the same source, not a separate creation entirely.
Naming souls as fragments rather than independent inventions ties every struggling being back to something larger. Real kinship, not distance, is the relationship being described.
