Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Verse 68

Therefore, O mighty-armed, wisdom is steady in one whose senses are fully restrained from their objects.

Real wisdom and real self-control end up being the same thing, just seen from two different angles.

This verse ties the whole section together. Restraining the senses isn't a separate discipline from wisdom, it's what wisdom actually looks like once it's genuinely settled in.
