Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 2

With these seemingly conflicting words, you are, as it were, confusing my understanding. Tell me one thing for certain, by which I may attain the highest good.

Mixed signals don't help. Arjuna wants one clear answer, not two ideas that seem to cancel each other out.

This is a real, honest request: stop offering two paths that sound like they contradict each other, and just say which one actually leads somewhere. Confusion this genuine deserves a straight answer, not more nuance stacked on top.
