Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 24
Whose happiness is within, whose relaxation is within, whose light is within, that Yogi alone, becoming Brahman, gains absolute freedom.
When real contentment is already coming from inside, external things stop having to carry so much weight.
This describes a genuine shift in where happiness is even being sourced from. Once that inner delight is real, the constant outward search naturally quiets down, not through force, but because it's simply not needed as much anymore.
