Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 6, Verse 28

The Yogi freed from taint, constantly engaging the mind thus, with ease attains the infinite bliss of contact with Brahman.

Staying in ongoing contact, not a one-time achievement, is what this describes as the real source of lasting happiness.

The word 'constant' matters here. This isn't framed as a single accomplishment to check off, it's an ongoing connection that keeps being maintained, and that continuity is what actually sustains the happiness being described.
