Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 9, Verse 6
As the mighty wind, moving always everywhere, rests ever in the Akâsha, know that even so do all beings rest in Me.
A real, physical image, wind resting in open sky, is used to describe something otherwise hard to picture.
Comparing every living being to wind moving within the sky gives real, tangible shape to an abstract claim about existing within something greater. The image works because wind never actually leaves the sky it moves through.
