Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 12, Verse 1

Arjuna said: Those devotees who, ever-steadfast, thus worship You, and those also who worship the Imperishable, the Unmanifested, which of them are better versed in Yoga?

A real, honest question opens this chapter, which path actually works better.

Arjun doesn't assume one answer, he asks directly which approach, devotion to a real form or focus on the formless, reaches deeper. That open question sets up everything Krishna explains next.
