Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 12, Verse 6-7

But those who worship Me, resigning all actions in Me, regarding Me as the Supreme Goal, meditating on Me with single-minded Yoga, to these whose mind is set on Me, verily, I become ere long, O son of Prithâ, the Saviour out of the ocean of the mortal Samsâra.

Devotion here comes with a real, specific promise attached, being lifted out quickly, not eventually, and what makes it work is something internal and real.

Krishna doesn't just describe this path, he names its actual outcome, real, swift deliverance for those whose consciousness stays fixed on him. That promised speed is tied directly to genuine union of consciousness, not ritual alone.
