Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 14, Verse 4

Whatever forms are produced, O son of Kunti, in all the wombs, the great Prakriti is their womb, and I the seed-giving Father.

This same image is repeated here across every species, not reserved for one particular kind of life.

Whatever form life takes, the same real relationship, material nature as womb, this source as origin, is said to hold true. Real consistency runs underneath all that outward variety.
