Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 48
One should not relinquish, O son of Kunti, the duty to which one is born, though it is attended with evil; for, all undertakings are enveloped by evil, as fire by smoke.
Visible flaws in your own duty aren't reason enough to abandon it.
Krishna compares this to fire and smoke, an unavoidable pairing, showing that some imperfection is built into all action. Nothing entirely flawless is promised or expected.
