Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 58

Fixing your mind on Me, you shall, by My grace, overcome all obstacles; but if from self-conceit you will not hear Me, you shall perish.

Two paths, laid out plainly: listen and get through, or let pride decide and fall.

Krishna doesn't soften either side: grace and overcoming on one path, ruin on the other. The stakes are named without hedging.
