To the one who has known the Self, all the Vedas are of so much use as a reservoir is when there is a flood everywhere.

A lake already holds everything a small well was ever meant to provide.

Every ritual and teaching in scripture points toward the same destination. Reach that destination directly, and everything those smaller practices were building toward is already accomplished.
