Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 27
By the delusion of the pairs of opposites, arising from desire and aversion, O descendant of Bharata, all beings fall into delusion at birth, O scorcher of foes.
Wanting and not-wanting are named here as a real, shared source of confusion for essentially everyone.
This isn't singling anyone out, it's describing something close to universal. The constant pull between craving and avoiding is framed as the real, common root of confusion running through material existence generally.
