Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 6

Know that these two Prakritis are the womb of all beings. I am the origin and dissolution of the whole universe.

Everything traces back to the same real source, and eventually returns to it.

This closes the loop on where the whole picture comes from. Both energies, material and spiritual, are described as originating from one place, and returning there too, a real beginning and a real end, not separate or accidental.
