Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 13-15

Learn from Me, O mighty-armed, these five causes for the accomplishment of all works as declared in the wisdom which is the end of all action: the body, the agent, the various senses, the different functions of a manifold kind, and the presiding divinity, the fifth of these; whatever action a man performs by his body, speech and mind, whether right or the reverse, these five are its causes.

A real, structured breakdown is promised here, five specific factors, not a vague general explanation, and the same five are named as behind every action, proper or improper alike.

Krishna grounds this next teaching in an established philosophical framework rather than presenting it as a new idea, naming a real, complete set working together rather than reducing action to just willpower or circumstance. That five-factor framework is shown covering all action without exception, nothing about how it actually happens is left out.
