Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 1

The Deity said: With the mind intent on Me, O son of Prithâ, taking refuge in Me, and practising Yoga, how you shall without doubt know Me fully, that do you hear.

Krishna opens this chapter by naming exactly what it takes to actually know him fully. Not curiosity alone, but a mind genuinely, exclusively focused, that's the real starting condition for everything about to be explained.
