the universal form

Arjuna asks to see Krishna's cosmic form, and Krishna gives him the sight to bear it. Arjuna sees everything, all beings and all time, within one vast form, and is shaken by awe and fear. Krishna says he is Time, which brings everything to its end, and Arjuna begs to see the gentle, familiar form again.

The person beside you on the chariot is also the whole. Both are true.
